femslash premieres vvc2013?

Long Version: I have plans to do a femslash vidshow for next year's Vividcon. Ideally I would like a to create a show of mainly premieres. I thought the best way to do that would be to give vidders plenty of time to vid, so I'm asking around to see if anyone would be interested.

Short version: Would anyone like to make me a femslash vid for Vividcon 2013, please?

Feel free to comment, or private message, or email me (miserychic47 at hotmail dot com). It's a long way off, but letting me know fandom would help so I make sure the vidshow sticks to one vid per fandom and not 3 of one show.

I'm slowly making my way home after Vividcon! I'll post vids and con report when I get there, but short version: VVCYAY!

I have another vidder considering a P&R vid. Selfishly, I can't recall seeing any Sports Night vids ever and would love one.

Side question: I vaguely remember a LGBTIQ list of films and tv shows with happy endings. Were you the one that linked to it? I'm trying to find it to give people ideas.

I'm interested, in an I'm a flake and that's a long way off kind of way! Lately all I've been vidding is anime, so I guess reduced risk of overlap, if anime is okay. Or A:tLA, I've had an Azula/Ty Lee vid on a back burner for a while.

I'm completely open to all kinds of source. The more variety, the better. Don't feel obligated because if you don't finish in time, I'll have back ups. I'm trying for an all premieres vidshow, but I'll be prepared for all contingencies. :) Hopefully there's plenty of time for vidders.

I will... probably do one, but my roommate Eva Kenieva, who had 2 1/2 vids in Vividcon this year, one of which was a femslash vid, will definitely do one. Probably in a super obscure movie fandom, if I know her well. (She femslash-vidded She-Creature (http://archiveofourown.org/works/484569), a horror movie about a mermaid, this year.)

I'll probably either do some movie I have yet to decide upon or Nikita if no one else has called it yet by then and I'm feeling ambitious.

EPIC WIN! I know I am THE WORST at following through on vidding commitments, but I swear I would make a premiere for this. I have at least four ideas that MUST HAPPEN and one is a movie vid -- totally manageable! Plus I'm starting a research leave which I plan to use for vidding, HA. *coughcough*

I am in favor of a paired panel too! Some ideas for discussion:
- return of the White Cock Problem, or, why is femslash such a minority?
- femslash and gender: what does it mean to be a straight woman or a MAN who likes/vids femslash?
- representation of female desire: does femslash subtext rely on different visual tropes than boyslash?
- what makes you want to vid certain pairings?
- what is the role of femslash in an era of increased queer representation? does a canon pairing count as "femslash"? (e.g. Brittana vs. Faberry?)
- is femslash becoming increasingly accepted/solicited by the media industry? (e.g. Rizzoli and Isles)
- vidding constructed reality (three big vids that do this: Gloria, Hands Away, Hurricane) -- how to use multiple sources or PORN outside sources?
- femslash vidding communities, or, what is our relationship to YouTube and/or Tumblr vidders?
- femslash vidding genres: from representation to celebration to masturbation?

I would really like to go to VVC again someday (with metatxt), but with next summer's cross-country move I don't think 2013 will be the year.

I'm obviously a little behind the times here, but I have a work-in-progress I think might suit. This (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suburban_Shootout) is the canon, and yes, it's *exactly* as, well, dyketacular as it sounds; the vid is mostly an ensemble piece, but it's a really, really *queer* ensemble. It's 3:14 (including an easter-egg post-credits scene, which I could leave off if there's a time issue), action/humor oriented, very fast-paced; I'd say I'm about 4/5 of the way to a complete draft, so there's enough footage on the timeline to get across a sense of the finished project, if you'd like to see it.

ETA: Disregard that. Not gay enough. Have had MUCH BETTER song idea. Working on it now. Will show off on request.
