EPIC WIN! I know I am THE WORST at following through on vidding commitments, but I swear I would make a premiere for this. I have at least four ideas that MUST HAPPEN and one is a movie vid -- totally manageable! Plus I'm starting a research leave which I plan to use for vidding, HA. *coughcough*

I am in favor of a paired panel too! Some ideas for discussion:
- return of the White Cock Problem, or, why is femslash such a minority?
- femslash and gender: what does it mean to be a straight woman or a MAN who likes/vids femslash?
- representation of female desire: does femslash subtext rely on different visual tropes than boyslash?
- what makes you want to vid certain pairings?
- what is the role of femslash in an era of increased queer representation? does a canon pairing count as "femslash"? (e.g. Brittana vs. Faberry?)
- is femslash becoming increasingly accepted/solicited by the media industry? (e.g. Rizzoli and Isles)
- vidding constructed reality (three big vids that do this: Gloria, Hands Away, Hurricane) -- how to use multiple sources or PORN outside sources?
- femslash vidding communities, or, what is our relationship to YouTube and/or Tumblr vidders?
- femslash vidding genres: from representation to celebration to masturbation?

I would really like to go to VVC again someday (with metatxt), but with next summer's cross-country move I don't think 2013 will be the year.
