If you're in trouble, he will save the day
He's brave and he's fearless, come what may
Without him, the mission would go astray
He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
Without him, life would be much grimmer
He's handsome, trim, and no one's slimmer
He will never need a Zimmer
He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
More reliable than a garden strimmer
He's never been mistaken for Yul Brynner
He's not bald and his head doesn't glimmer
Master of the wit and the repartee
His command of space directives is uncanny
How come he's such a genius? Don't ask me
Ask Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
He's also a fantastic swimmer
And if you play your cards right,
Then he just might come 'round for dinner
He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
No rhymes left now apart from quimmer
He'd better fade us out before we get to schlimmer
Fade out you stupid plimmer

Date: 2006-10-14 04:42 am (UTC)The opening was very clever, and I loved your lyric ties. My favorite was "handsome trim and no one's slimmer". :) Neat little overlays of the trimmer and Yul Brenner, too.
Some really cool moments of motion that match the music, too. So easy to overlook because they just seem *right*. Ex: The lights at :28, the walking and gestures ~:50 (very nice!), time toggle at 1:15 (wonderful), and the peek through the hands.
Very fun!

Date: 2006-10-15 04:28 am (UTC)Have you ever watched "Red Dwarf"? It's made of awesome as well. The original sequence (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54WCeqOfcFY) in the show kills me everytime.
I can't take the credit for the opening though; it's a quote from the show that I changed around.
I tried not to let the "vidding" get in the way of "fun" so to speak, but I'm glad little things got through without being "too viddy".
I debated whether or not to use the overlays, but after I second I decided to go with the crazy. I used a lot of time toggling actually, but it hope it wasn't too noticable and if it was, then I hope it was a good kind of noticable.
the peek through the hands
Ahh, yes, the hand porn.
