this is so haunting! it's hard to make extensive overlays legible but you have such an expert touch. I love your use of repeated images, too -- it's a great way to guide an unfamiliar viewer through the vid. just gorgeous!

I usually go with the notion that the viewer doesn't always need to be aware of all the layers, like someone not needing to know all of the ingredients in their food... Until they eat a peanut and die.

Utopia is an utterly beautiful series. I mean, there's more I didn't even get to use. It's so beautiful.
