Title Music: "'That's Not My Name" from the Ting Tings
When Lida saw Gauis, she saw her chance to set herself apart beyond her hair style. It was her opportunity to stand out like the few of her model.
She couldn’t become a hero like Caprica. She couldn’t make herself a political noble like Natalie. She couldn’t bring herself to martyrdom like Gina. She could be with Gauis, like so many of them. She could become important in his eyes and those of his people.
Red pulses marked time as Lida studied his nervous behavior. She took in the shift of his eyes and his wrinkled forehead before sauntering over.

Proud and determined like all the Sixes, but different in her intention to attach herself to someone else. Perhaps a more conscious decision to search for identity and recognition in light of those who went before, whereas Caprica and Gina never had that ability to make a conscious decision; things just happened to them.
Anyway, we love Lida!
