I nearly stopped watching House because of the episode from last week for personal reasons. I thought I had a good handle on myself after the MRSA thing. But the episode was all about dying, pain, being stuck in the hospital and just wanting out, wanting to die, and not knowing what's wrong. Granted, most of that is what House is usually about, but it got to me from the beginning. When House pulled his leg up in the bath to reveal the scar, my aunt said "that kind of looks like your leg" and I burst into tears.

We were two episodes behind. I got over it and watched last night's episode too.

That's actually one of the more accurate special needs classrooms I've seen. Although having the desks in cooperative learning squares doesn't work well for all children. It usually brings up social interaction issues, which can be worked on, but I wouldn't try putting the students into cooperative learning groups until I knew the children well enough to group them properly.

One thing that constantly annoys me about special needs classrooms on tv and in movies is the seating. There's all sorts of assistive and alternative chairs that would be used in classrooms, like Rifton chairs.

Ok, I'm done preaching about the evils of media.

It's 5 minutes in and I can feel that this will end badly. Very, very badly because she's too wonderful of a person. She will be found to be done something awful. This show can be soulcrushing at times.

Foreman is pissing me off. He knows what a drug trial is and yet he's acting like he had no idea that there was a possibility 13 would be on the placebo.

OMG, I lied, I'm going back on my soapbox. Person First Language, people, Person First Language. Say "a child with autism", not "autistic child".

"She cries, she eats, and she poops." I heart Cuddy. I want her boots and her hair and her Wilson.

I know it's a fictional tv show, but I think it's sad that the woman is made out to only be able to work with children with special needs because she can't get stressed out.

Foreman is an idiot. Part of me thinks he's changing the medication to prove that he's in love with 13.

My doctor's appointment ok. They're bringing in another doctor at the Wound Center and he came along with my doctor for the day. We went over my case history, which was great fun for me... not. I get that he was shadowing to get a feel for the place, but he put gloves on started poking at my leg with no warning. I said something like "whoa, you're not my doctor" and got a bit irritated. I felt like an jerk, but he wasn't technically employeed by the Center yet. It hurt something awful too because my leg didn't even have the numbing liquid on it yet. My actual doctor made joke about him trying to steal her patients. One of the nurses apologized later, saying he had been doing that all day because he's used to working with patients, but not people.

Good new: The second wound is healed! I don't even have to have a bandage on it. The doctor said the front one should be healed up by the beginning of March. There's light at the end of the MRSA Tunnel!!!!!!!

:)

The way the nurse explained him, he doesn't know that there are feelings connected to wounds. He didn't understand that I needed numbing liquid because it hurt to be poked.

And that you just don't go poking wounds without telling/warning the patient first.

Especially when he's not my doctor. He sneak attacked me when my head was turned. He was sleathly.
