Gonna float away
To a feather cloud formation
I'm gonna dig
For pretty and strange
Gonna open me up
A black gold vein

Arrow on fire
Flash the night
Gonna fade away
To the trees and caves
Salt-salt lamp
Romance the spark
And you'll shine-shine-shine
Up the wild deep dark

A sliver, a crack of light
Is all you need to see
A sliver, a crack of light
Is all you need to see

Ten black stars
At my windowpane
That's ten pretty stars
Circle in my veins
Old barbed wire
Gonna fight and sting
Just ten little stars
Gonna make me sing

A sliver, a crack of light
Is all you need to see...

Heeeee, that was awesome. I loved the ... interconnected disconnect, if that makes any sense o_0. Very much brings the difference in perception and then getting clearer towards the end and, eee! Beautiful!

Thank you. I was going for the idea of it being organized the way a Terminator's brain has information stored in categories, like they explained in "Vic's Chip".

That was gorgeous! The whole thing was wonderful, but in particular I gasped when you sped up the human ballet dancer to make her look robotic - awesome!

Thanks. I'm so glad the underlying robotic feel came through.

Fantastic vid with some clever masking. I love the way you've cut this to give it a mechanical feel which so obviously is perfect for a look into Cameron's head.

I did a vid for VVC that really abused masking, so this was a more subtle and restrained use... which isn't that subtle and restrained.

I really enjoyed that. Very cleverly cut, and the use of the blue static-type moments was fantastic (that first one where you've cut her out of it, so the background goes all static, totally grabbed me).

Thank you. I abused masking quite a bit. :)

Wow, that was stunning. My eyeballs feel like they've been pounded. I love it! :D The ending was like a visual balm, so smooth and gorgeous.

Great job! I really enjoyed the disjointed editing and you did a wonderful job with the masking. It nearly makes me miss it (doing masking). Really enjoyed this. :)

Thank. I rather like doing masking. I think I'm going to stop doing it before it maes me cry though.

Ooo. I like how you built the disconnectedness up to such a frenzied level that when the final bit with Cameron's ballet rolls around, its relatively graceful flow has a real punch. My favourite part, however, has to be the way you intercut Jordan's freakout with Cameron's impersonation of her freakout; your juxtaposition of the two performances just gives me tingles.

Yay, SCC vid!

Thank you. I was going for a build up and release feel to the ballet section.

I spent way too much time getting Jordan and Cameron's mouth shapes to match, but I like the way it turned out.

Great job! Your timing and music use is always so amazing, so everything flows so beautifully. And I loved the ballet ending, so calm after all the action!

PS. We have a special theme open at DPTM this would fit with, just in case you're interested :)

Was searching for this vid, which I saw a while back on another site. Still one of my favorite fanvids EVER. Great tune, fantastic editing...and I dig the title too. ;)

Are there any working download links for this anymore?

I FAIL at vid commenting! Just coming back to this in order to rec it, and noticed that I never said anything. FAIL. I love this. I love the visual connections in it, the bits of human motions, emotions, expressions that Cameron mimics, and then executes perfectly; the section of the different hands; the roboticness of the human ballet dancer; the little sections of what Cameron stores about each human, like Sarah slapping Cameron juxtaposed with her hitting the surveillance camera GUH, and Cameron holding the pencil while looking down at Derek for the first time in the present. So many little moments of brilliance like that in this. It makes me want to watch it 10 times and think about each little clip. Robot brains!

Also, the download link doesn't seem to be working anymore. Any chance of a re-up? :)
