Oh yes yes YEEESSSS!!!!!!!!! An SAG vid from you!!! And it's effing kick ass. Because Ronon kicks ass. Oh yes he does. Again, the music choice is so unique, and the editing matches it wonderfully. Great job and just total hardcore cutting.

Whoa! This is really intense. I'm not sure if I like it, but I mean that in the best way -- the techniques you've used make me feel uncomfortable as I watch, but I think that's the effect you're going for. Poor Ronon; so alienated, so instantly violent in the face of threat; and so constantly, schizophrenically aware of his surroundings.

That is what I was going for. How he's so set apart from most others and how he's still a runner deep down. Yet one of his biggest fears is being abandoned. I wanted the vid to borderline on crazydark and suffocatingly harsh.

Well, it won't be a huge "hit", and that would be disappointing after so much work; but one of the things I love about songvids is that they do try out this kind of stuff -- techniques that would never be done in a longer work. And you're one of the best vidders for doing things I've never seen before.

After I completed my previous vid I had a burst of vidding and did this one in a day. It all went so fast and easy, which hasn't been happening for a while.

I love experimenting with my vidding. As much as I'd like having huge hits like the great vidders, I'm content to play around in my own mud puddle near their great lakes.

Chroma fun!!

I really enjoyed that, Whitney. I love how consistent you were in using the chroma, negative effect, and light flashes to recognize a certain pattern in the music. Oh, and it was SO cool how the fight starting at ~1:40 looked so much like a dance.

My favorite thing about it, though, was kind of a little thing - the tapping at about 1:15. That made me way too happy.

OMGTHANKYOU. I've recently come to the conclusion that editing a dance sequence is like editing a fight sequence, which is like editing a sex scene. If I can learn how to edit fight sections, then I can translate it to vidding dancing and sex.

With the effects I was going for something I've never seen in a vid, but have in fanart. I'm trying to bring things over from fanart into my vids to make them prettified.

In SGC training they made sure you know how to seduce tribal princesses. :) It's a good skill to have.
