Battlestar Galactica - Lay Down Your Burdens Part 2
Holy crap... Just... Holy crap... Whoa... Cannot sentance properly... Random thoughts:
Gaeta did the "right thing", but jesus fuck. I could kinda see how even though he's with Baltar, he regrets doing the "right thing". I stand firmly when I say Gaeta loves Baltar.
I bet Adama feels bad about making Saul go down on the planet now, huh?
The one year later thing was kinda like the miniseries redux. The parallels were very cool and interesting (the cylons walking in, Galactica not being fully operational and more like a museum, the president fucking up, Lee and Kara not getting along, and others). It's like they've become what they hate (at least Lee turning into a mix of Tigh/Ellen and Roslin becoming shady) Everyone got fat and a new haircut somehow.
The thing where Baltar said that Adama had to listen to him because he was the president felt like a childish echo of Roslin's thing about being a president means she doesn't have to explain herself. At first when Baltar was all along on Colonial One I felt sad for him, but then he got some space hookers.
Is Leoben there to help the humans? Side note, Callum Keith Rennie! He's on the L word, but there's just not enough of him anywhere.
What exactly happened with the peace movement of Caprica!Six and the Chief's Sharon? A lot can happen in a year. Maybe they just want to coexist or something, but that would be kinda lame considering the build up.
Where was Helo's Sharon in the one year later part? I pretty much take it that they "broke up". And thinking about it, what this going to do to the Chief? Him and Cally were cute despite the dreariness of New Caprica. I always liked them together, but he beat the crap out of her. Way to start a relationship. They're so trailer trash. I love it.
Are the two Cavil's really, truly dead, as in cylon dead with no ressurection ship? They were cool as hell. An athiest cylon priest is always cool. That's the great thing about cylons: there's always more.
Roslin going back to being a teacher was cool. Roslin seeming to have set up house with Sharon's baby's fake babymomma is distrubing on a level of manipulative. But doesn't someone notice that the chick she hangs out with has a baby that looks like Sharon and is the right age to be Hera? And was did I hear it right, that Hera is now called Isis? Roslin must have to pretend to love that baby every day and it probably kills her to do it. But being gay with the hot lady from Smallville and Veronica Mars probably makes up for it.
Something major happened with Dee/Lee/Kara/Anders and I kinda like that we don't know yet. It's probably something to do with Kara and Anders getting married. I like Kara all domesticed, but I'm sure other people don't. I guess I'm happy that she finally has something to fight for (what she said to Helo back on Caprica about how everyone's fighting the cylons to get back to their lives and she just fights because she doesn't have anything else). Also, I heard slight echoes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Pinky and the Brain at the end there. I liked Kara's hair too, sue me.
Saul fought hand to hand with a cylon during the first war and won. If the cylons are there to make humanity their bitch, then I want to see Tigh kick some ass.
After the one year thing I forgot to think about everything else. Roslin kinda deserved to be caught because Dee and Tigh? Not the best people to pull shit like that. If Roslin was going to be dishonest she should have gone all the way and not left it up to her aid. If Billy were alive, this shit wouldn't have happened. I'm disappointed and saddened that she felt she had to let it happen, but she should know people in large numbers are stupid.
Tricia Helfer's left eye ball can act better than some actresses' entire bodies.
This show kills me. It's so dismal and not black, but a bleak grey. How do they not just shot themselves in the head?
I'm probably come up with more things to think about, but not now. Now I'm off to lurk on everyone else's journal and read what they thought...
