Epic tags are epic. This movie was full of so much promise and potential that just...got lost in the beautiful imagery.
If anything, I think I felt more upset by that because I watched this film right after I finished watching another show - a show that pretty much IS everything those tags describe. It's a show about two generations of women pitted against each other, the older one trying to rule through beauty, the younger one through faith, the older one hating but also wanting to teach the younger, the younger learning that eventually she will lose all she loves to that crown, both of them struggling to ruin a world that dismisses and uses and discards them beause they are women. Yeah, that's the show. (http://beccatoria.livejournal.com/165617.html). It's just 62 hours long and subtitled in Korean so you know, not many people want to watch it. But I'm totally going to be obnoxious enough to at least mention it! :D (Err, yes, I should probably note its name: The Great Queen Seon Deok! Streaming links in the link above).
