Glory be to the newborn (boy) king
Dec. 14th, 2007 03:38 pmI've finished all my finals, having e-mailed my ten page one last night and did my Religion one this morning. I feel so much lighter.
When we started putting up the Christmas tree I was excited, but I got irrationally pissed off after, then I wanted to cry. I've had some shitty Christmas holidays, so maybe I'm trying to hard to have a good one. Whatever, bring on the eggnog!
Working with high quality vid source is a lot different than what I'm used to working with. I never realized that my source is semi-shitty. I have 30GB on my laptop for my next vid, which is a Christmas vid. Not exactly a happy cutesy Christmas vid, but as close as I can allow myself to get. Of course just as I'm gearing up to start my Christmas vid I get an idea for a another one. It's a really screwed up Supernatural one that will offend a few people, so I'm thinking I'll stick with the one I've started.
VID RECS:
Abbey's Better Off (due South) - There's so much action, quirky editing, energy, building tension, and excellent motion that I must warn that it may give you a heart attack.
Dayln's The Scars of All I'll Ever Know (Supernatural) - Beautiful manipulating, coloring, effects, and layering that conveys so much meaning.
hollywoodgrrl's (Boulevard of) Broken Songs (Doctor Who) - An amazing vid that takes the concept of a mashup and runs with it to awesometown.
KC's Battlestar Inferno (Battlestar Galactica) - Colorful fun with effects, beats and handclapping.
