Oh, I agree, definitely. I have had loads of fun making vids that didn't have super-deep concepts. In the end, though, I seem to return to Big Ideas. That's interesting because I feel it's almost the opposite for me. I have tons of Big Idea vids, but I usually push them aside for something simple and more visually interesting to me. I think part of it is the time that it takes for me to do a Big Idea vid. I let those rest in my brain for a long time before I even attempt to make them.
