tasted my soul

Season 1:
1.01 - Premiere
I saw the premiere rather late in starting to watch the series, so seeing it was weird. I like that they didn’t spend much time on Earth. They gave only what was needed to let the viewer know about his life, then they shot him into space. Aeryn’s entrance was one of the best. You start off thinking that it’s a guy, but no, it’s an ass kicking girl. Then John was all, “oh yeah, I can rock that”. The DRD’s are cute. I want to keep the one with the blue tape.
1.02 - I, E.T.
Cute episode, not that much else to say.
1.03 - Exodus From Genesis
John never would have killed Aeryn. I want a dentic. The end was beautiful with the space and the orange and smiles.
1.04 - Throne For a Loss
Can’t decide if I like Rygel or if he got on my nerves. He’s cute in an ugly way. The gauntlet thing was as interesting as those sewn up alien faces were ugly. And that’s a lot.
1.05 - Back and Back and Back to the Future
The Ilanics will forever creep me out. I think it’s the tentacles. And the whole rape dream thing. The black hole effects were cool. The time shifts were done really well. The commentary was funny with Ben Browder not being able to concentrate with Claudia Black’s bare mid-riff on the screen.
1.06 - Thank God It's Friday, Again
One of my favorites because it had D’Argo being all happy and sunburnt. What other show would have the hero of the episode use his pee as a weapon? Why does John always do the Californian surfer dude accent? There must be 3 episodes with that. Some people didn’t like Volmae, but she made me think that she was an alien, so job done. “She gives me a woody.”
Aeryn and Pilot had great interaction. I like that Pilot is flawed in that he doesn’t understand everything that he thinks he should. Also like that Aeryn had to step outside of herself, but they don’t start proclaiming her the new scientist.
1.07 - PK Tech Girl
I liked Gilina, it was good to get a closer look at the Peacekeepers besides Aeryn and Crais. Gilina and John were believable in the sense that it would never happen anyways.
1.08 - That Old Black Magic
This one made me feel bad for Crais. Being thrown into a job and mission that he didn’t want, but was forced into along with his brother by his father. Then his brother dies after Crais had promised to look over him and protect him.
1.09 - DNA Mad Scientist
I saw this one a long time ago and I liked it, but it was one of the first that I’d seen, so I didn’t have back story and I wasn’t as involved. I must stay that NamTar’s cloths are some kinky bondage shit. He brings out the real issue of stem cell research and whether scientists can play God. His assistant reminds me of Hellboy. NamTar may think that he’s near perfect genetic perfection, but he’s still ugly.
Those bastards! They cut off Pilots arm! I realize that it grows back, but it was against his will. Individually, Rygel, D'Argo, and Zhaan wouldn’t have been able, emotionally without guilt, to do that to Pilot, but together it was like the good of some would outweigh the pain and loss of one. All this to get home. The drive to get home and belong is so strong. Why is it always like that in space? In almost every show that I can think of that’s in outer space, the main plot is about a character trying to get home, especially to Earth. What’s so great about it that someone would pass up an entire universe to get back to? I love Pilot. He isn’t even played by an actor, he’s a puppet and he seems to have more emotional levels than some actors. He even plays smug well. I think they got what they deserved for what they did. Bastards. Oddly, D’Argo, the warrior, was the only one who offered up anything resembling an apology.
Heheh, John put his arm around Aeryn and she shoves it off. She could pass on Earth, she just couldn’t go to Florida. It’s amazing what people would do to fit in, even though no one does. The food cube smilie face was cute. It’s like the equivalent of a bacon and egg smile for breakfast.
They should have made the inside of Zhaan’s mouth blue too. Gotta love it when Rygel calls her a blue-assed bitch. Kills me every time.
1.10 - They've Got a Secret
My first thought was that D’Argo got flushed. He’s so sweet and adorable. It’s like a Spanish soap opera where you don’t know what’s going on, but at the same time, you know exactly what’s going on. Little babies are cute no matter what, even if they’re baby alien ships. Ew, that means D’Argo was covered in spooje and he swallowed some. Does that mean that Leviathans are hermaphroditic? The way they have the episodes really screws up the crew dynamic continuity.
1.11 - 'Til the Blood Runs Clear
The desert set was simplistic, but worked. Loved D’Argo and John in this one. And Areyn.
1.12 - Rhapsody in Blue
Felt bad for the old guy and that woman was a bitch.
1.13 - The Flax
Another one of my favorites. The female of the species was especially funny. I thought that there was something between D’Argo and “female”, but I didn’t know if SciFi would actually let them go there.
1.15 - Durka Returns
I definitely dig Chiana. I love the way she moves. Very fluid and overtly sexual.
Season 2:
2.10 - My Three Crichtons
Future evolved John’s an asshole. No one has the right to say who is more important in terms of evolution. Everyone has something to offer in terms of evolution. Without one there can’t be the other. The obvious solution was to send both the first and the last back, but it was interesting to see the current John trying to decide when it came down to it, which would be sent back.
2.14 - Beware of Dog
Aeryn has really been through a lot of changes looking at this episode and back at the earlier ones. She wouldn’t have cared nearly as much about the Vorc dying as she did in the beginning of the series. Alien humpage is funny.
2.15 - Won't Get Fooled Again
One of my favorites because I have a thing for weird/dream/brain things. It’s like the “Restless” episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer” in that I can sit and pick apart all the different scenes and lines and crap, like a loser. Not to mention it’s plain awesome.
2.16 - The Locket
This one is just so cute. Old people are just so cute. The older John gets, the more his accent comes forward.
2.17 - The Ugly Truth
Another good character episode because it shows how impressionable a person’s memory can be. It bends to themselves and isn’t the same. Byebye Stark, but you’ll be back.
2.18 - A Clockwork Nebari
I think the Nebari alien make up is the best of all the species’. It was great to see a new and different side of Chiana.
2.19-2.21 - Liars, Guns and Money:
Wonderful trilogy of episodes, some of my favorites. The guns, explosions, love, angst, craziness, sex. I like Jothee.
2.22 - Die Me, Dichotomy
I think this one is my absolute favorite episode so far. The snow, the death, the ice, the screaming, the brain frelling. The “so my girl” part was so sad, as was the funeral, and the part in the sky.
Season 3:
3.01 - Season of Death
A favorite. The Harvey ass kicking was hilarious. Aeryn looked great in the snow. Death looks good on her.
3.02 - Suns and Lovers
Another favorite. Perfect handling of the Jothee/Chiana/D’Argo.
Season 4:
4.17 - A Constellation of Doubt
Another favorite because I love when series step outside themselves to give commentary on themselves. Like this sort of documentary type deal. Chiana was excellent. And Aeryn.
Sounds about right.
Played around at the All American Sports Center with Libby. They have putt-putt, batting cages, driving ranges, and an arcade. I could live there and be blissfully happy.

1024x768
800x600
My lame attempt at humor. I should stick to weird depressing crap.
