I'd say that not only depends on the brand but its origin as well. Italian, French and Italian clothes have smaller number than American f.ex. I can't buy even the biggest clothes in Zara which is a Spanish store, while I'm maybe an XL in Monsoon which is a British store and then an L when shopping American. So really, no way to answer that.
In adult sizes I'm usually an S, sometimes an M. In children's sizes I'm an L or XL. And yes I do sometimes shop in the children's section - there aren't as many cool superhero shirts for women.
I'd say XL, but it really depends on the cut, it's between L and XL for babydoll type t-shirts, because I'm well endowed in the front and that tends to pull my shirt up in the front, which I hate.
