Contemplating what to write about for the vid_commentary meta series challenge... Any ideas?

deathisyourart gives a description and suggestions, which are making my brain wonder around. I'm considering the treatment of violence in vids, the use of water, revenge in vids, sexuality in vids, or something else.

How about light?

When I think of your vids, one of the things that comes to mind first is the way you manipulate light: in choosing sources/clips with interesting light/dark values; in how you put the clips together; in your use of levels effects and other techniques to change or emphasize chiaroscuro, etc.

I've also been obsessed with how light/dark can correspond to dynamics in music since I made "Rook", so I'd be interested in anything you wanted to say about that, too.
