Time for an Update, Y'all

Yay! I have my laptop back and completely fixed. I'm starting on my Premiere for VVC because if I don't start now, it won't be done for the deadline. I should start my vid for Club Vivid soon too.

My teaching postition is eating away the rest of my life. I need to stop bringing baggage from school home. Literally and figuratively. If I don't, I'll probably burn out by the end of the year.

Well, YAY for the laptop fixing! I hope it doesn't die on you again. And yeah, you need to take care of yourself and not burn out. But I hope you're at least still enjoying the job? *hugs*

I still have to reinstall my programs and such, but it seems fine. I already picked out the new laptop I wanted in case this one was a goner. I know what I want if this one does die.

I'm still happy and shiny about the job. I love what I do, but it's the other stuff that comes with it that sucks. There's a lot of crap I have to do that isn't my actual job.

Some of the students tell me all their secrets and the things going on in their lives. It's great that they feel comfortable and safe enough to do it. It makes me feel like I need to do something to help.

The hours are long too. 7:30am to 4pm, then I do an hour of after school tutoring. It takes about 40 minutes for me to drive there too, so it's a long day that turns into a long week.

OMG, the new teaching job is also consuming MY life! I'm finishing up a term, with two more classes starting in a week, which is nuts. I miss the Cylon Internet tons and tons! metatxt is helping me learn to take breaks. please remember to designate some time to put school aside!

I wish you luck with the computer woes. on twitter it sounds like they're ongoing. SIGH. we should both just be vidding!

Isn't it insanity trying to do anything else? I'm too tired when I come home, then I'm too tired on the weekend. I start graduate classes soon and I think I might explode. I'll have to get over wanting a social life.

I checked the tracking on my laptop and it's going arrive sometime this week. So YAY! I said screw Best Buy and their Optimization bullshit and did a build my own thing.
