That was awesome! I love how you used the lyrics, and the motion and energy all through was really spectacular. Also I love how you use jump cuts so extraordinarily well here not just for musicality but to sell POV.

Thanks. I had this song stuck in my had for a long time before giving in to the idea of vidding it. Illyria become one of my favorite characters in the short time she was in Angel. I love how she's such a massive being inside of a human.

DUDE. I love that I can make a vid and you catch something I didn' think anyone would see. I recently read an Illyria comic that dealt with how much of Fred was left in Illyria and how it comes out. I had that in mind when vidding and how Illyria looks down so much on the shell, but then the thing that happened in the comic happened and it made it more clear how Illyria uses the bits of Fred.

I was trying to be vague without ruining the comic...

Well, I haven't read the comic, but I see Fred in there, too. At first I was most struck by the aesthetics of all the head-turns right around 00:45ish. I love that repetition visually. So I watched again to get a better sense of it, and it was like Illyria was constantly getting distracted by someone tapping her on the shoulder. So jittery. Of course, it's Fred inside her! So your summary could be reworded: Fred won't move over, won't get gone. Love it.

Technically Fred isn't in the vid beyond the point where she dies in the beginning. The rest is Illyria using her persona, like the "sparks" that were left over.

I'm all over repeated visuals. :)

I thought about having Fred instead of Illyria, but went with the former.

I used the lyrics on a Starbuck/Six wallpaper a million years ago, but I didn't love the song until this live version. LOL, the song fits me very well I must say. Before vidding it I'd been listening/watching the video on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsfj6Wq-rUE) a bunch and dancing to it.

I haven't actually seen seasons 4 or 5 or Angel though I'm roughly aware of the story arcs, but still, I loooooved this. I missed your vidding! The sense of movement and use of the music is awesome, as always.

I love the Illyria storyline, which is in the last 8 episodes of the series. I'm fascincated by the way she moves too. Amy Acker was fabulous as Illyria, especially in contrast to how she played Fred.

I'm slowly finishing up the 8 or so in progress vids I have. I wouldn't say I'm completely over the tech issues. The fix I used for this one isn't going to work with the other because the files are going to be way too big. :(

I loved Illyria and this feels very *her*. I really enjoyed the feel and implications of the Fred scenes--the disjointed-but-not way they appeared and the weight they had on the rest of the vid. Plus it just drives along in a very kick ass way. :D

Eeee, thanks. I can't believe Illyria's only in the last 8 episodes. I'd have loved to see more of her. I read that if they'd have continued the series into another season, Illyria and Fred would have split in two. That would have been interesting to see.
