I’m bringing sexy back (yeah)
Them other boys don’t know how to act (yeah)
I think you're special what's behind your back (yeah)
So turn around and I'll pick up the slack (yeah)
Take em’ to the bridge
Dirty babe (uh huh)
You see these shackles
Baby I’m your slave (uh huh)
I’ll let you whip me if I misbehave (uh huh)
It’s just that no one makes me feel this way (uh huh)
I’m bringing sexy back (yeah)
Them other fuckers don’t know how to act (yeah)
Come let me make up for the things you lack (yeah)
Cause you're burning up I gotta get it fast (yeah)
Take em' to the chorus
Come here girl
Go ahead, be gone with it
Come to the back
Go ahead, be gone with it
VIP
Go ahead, be gone with it
Drinks on me
Go ahead, be gone with it
Let me see what you’re working with
Go ahead, be gone with it
Look at those hips
Go ahead, be gone with it
You make me smile
Go ahead, be gone with it
Go ahead child
Go ahead, be gone with it
And get your sexy on
Go ahead, be gone with it
Get your sexy on
Go ahead, be gone with it
Get your sexy on
Go ahead, be gone with it
Get your sexy on
Go ahead, be gone with it
Get your sexy on
Go ahead, be gone with it
Get your sexy on
Go ahead, be gone with it
Get your sexy on
Go ahead, be gone with it
Get your sexy on
You ready?

Date: 2006-08-30 05:57 am (UTC)You know, I think the key to using a lot of effects is that you have to start with a strong foundation in the basics - movement, composition, and flow. Yours does all of this well, so the effects aren't a crutch the way they might be with some other vid.
Love how it started and ended with the same effect, and it perfectly expresses the music throughout. Fav moments:
:08 The standup. Perfect opening.
:20 Huh! :) Nice.
:30 You really showed off that shot well
:39 Dirty babe. Very funny.
:44 Love the well timed camera movement
1:02-1:08 - Amazing image sequence. Almost doesn't look real. And then that dramatic gun raising motion to end it. I love how it looks like the main character in the vid is one of the singers.
1:10-1:17 -Again with the gorgeous motion. Very kinetic.
1:27 - The "get your sexy on" fight. Neat.
Ah, I see the "ow" effect. Nice. It definitely works.
1:52 - the little dissolve on the "yeah". Ditto at 1:56. Great device.
The ending sequence with the grenade was well-conceived too, particularly the timing of the explosion.
Loved it!
wee, feedback is fun

I wrote the xml thingy and tried it give it a sort of comic book feel, but I don't know how well it came out as far as looking like a comic book. It looks more like the rain from "Sin City".
:08 The standup. Perfect opening.
Yay, I was kinda thinking it would be a slow opening, but I went with it deciding it's a intro: "This is Ronan, Ronan > you."
:30 You really showed off that shot well
Thanks. I did a lot of time toggling in the vid, but that's actually a time toggle already in the source.
1:27 - The "get your sexy on" fight. Neat.
Thanks. When I was working on that section especially, WMM died so many times, so I'm surprised I was able to get it to work.
Ah, I see the "ow" effect. Nice. It definitely works.
EHhehe, I looks a little better without my letterboxing, but the scifi logo in the bottom kept bouncing around in the corner and changing color, so I had to get rid of it. And I find a way to do it, so yay for learning new things.
1:52 - the little dissolve on the "yeah". Ditto at 1:56. Great device.
It's my new favorite transition. I used it in Silent Night too, but differently. It basically takes the two clips and blends them together where they're light (kind like screen mode in photoshop).
The ending sequence with the grenade was well-conceived too, particularly the timing of the explosion.
OMG, time toggles out my ass. :) The basis for it is actually Justin Timberlake's music video for SexyBack (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7SxvdIFvgk) where it has a :14 slow motion kiss lean in.

But you handled the placement and presentation of it, and that's why it works so well. It would have been easy to lose the impact of that clip if it were poorly presented.

Yeesh that sounds like a lot of work! Always fun trying to trick WMM into doing things, eh? I'd say WMM is pretty much your bitch at this point.

Date: 2006-08-31 02:49 pm (UTC)Aww. I'm getting a new computer for my birthday and I'm looking into which program I'm going to get, so hopefully I won't have to wait too much longer.

Getting rid of the logo is actually one of the easier things. It's just adding a letterbox over it, which isn't getting rid of it more than just covering it up. :)
I'd say WMM is pretty much your bitch at this point.
Hehheeh, it feeds me grapes and fans with a giant feather.

Date: 2006-09-01 10:06 am (UTC)I love the bit at 0:23 where the bomb(?) lands on the beat, and then there's a fade to him walking away, and that crossfade there fits perfectly with the audio.
"Take 'em to the bridge" - nice! :D "Dirty babe", too. Fantastic lyric matches all through.
LOVED that "oooh" right before the end. I laughed out loud at that part.
Awesome stuff! :D

Date: 2006-09-01 09:12 pm (UTC)The fade on him walking away is a composition a to b kinda thing where it blends the clips at parts where they're both light, then I had it fade in.
I was going to do something else for the Take em’ to the bridge part because I looked at it and thought it was too cheesy/crappy/awful, but then I kept it. :)
