Haunting and gorgeous and helping me that little bit more to get used to what AGMGTW did with the character. I can tell I'm going to be quite obsessed with this vid.

Oh. My. God. This is amazing.

The thing is... almost a year ago I asked the wonderful kathyh to make me this icon. Watching your vid I almost fell of my chair, because I've not seen that connection made anywhere else! At least not in any vids, and oh you made is so much better!

I'll try to be back later when my thoughts are more coherent (and I have re-watched it 10 million times), but for now I just needed to flail at you. Because it is like you reached into my head and pulled out a whole bunch of my thoughts.

Boy, that was gorgeous. River Song + Tomi Amos: perfection!
The editing is fantastic, all those panoramic sequences are really adding to the mood.
Also, towards the end, adult River by the kids/little Amelia bed and the reverse image with Amy bending down towards little Melody was a stoke of genius.

This is absolutely brilliant. So beautiful. I love all the new things I see each time I watch it. The first time we see River is in a spacesuit -- how did I never notice that? The lyrics (by the woods and the forest of the dead! she doesn't need a spaceship!) -- I can't believe how perfect it all is.

Oh, that was GORGEOUS, and I loved all the connections made with Amy. River's relationship with her and the Doctor is so wonderfully complex and you really managed to showcase that. Sharp editing, terrific flow... this is an amazing exploration of River's character. Kickass vid for a kickass character.

I am so sorry it's taken me this long to respond to this vid.

The connections you're drawing here are so amazing -- I love the recurring presence of Amy here, the reminder of their relationship but also of River's inheritance, their similarities in personality but also in universe-shattering relevance.

The intensity of the rapid cutting at the climax underscores all the timey-wimeyness of River's story and how she is at the heart of the exploding TARDIS and how she is central to so many critical events. It's not just how she must be at a certain place in a certain time for the Doctor, or for Amy and Rory, but also for the universe, and also, on a meta level, for the story to work out. For all the stories to work out.

This is a big impressive achievement and I know I'll get more out of it every time I watch.
