I was trying to be witty without turning pretentious, which I tend to do. :) The lyrics you mention, like "infected like we've got gangrene", "don't let anybody try and change me", "soul is alive, but they want it for ransom", "new day's coming", "the end is obvious" and "Rise" being some of them.
