Dude, you're my hero. I had a really shitty day at work (as all days back after vaction are) and came hom to find this at the top of my flist. You star.

It's great! I'm going to have to watch it many more times before I get thefull effect of all the overlaying choices you made, but I thought the chaotic, color-filtered effect worked well for a broadcast from the cylon god. I also liked how the still pictures formed the beat to the melody of the moving footage, but that the beat almost subsumed the melody until it was the melody that felt like a background sometimes? Or, you know, stuff that makes sense.

One image that worked beautifully was the water-computer-hybird "strings" as a cage over the end visuals. Awesome.

I am also excited by the fact this is so say we all ii: makes me hope for an iii... ;)

I don't know how to explain it other than it feels like my senses were assaulted - and I liked it. Like, a lot. I love your work with still frames and how you combined everything - it's overwhelming but at the same time, it's not, and you still clearly get what's happening even though it feels like and audio and video rush. I love it, and I love the concept.

Wow. Somehow this felt so perfect I don't really know what to say about it--the music and the images feel like they were always together. But I've been reading your tweets and I know how quickly you made this! You amaze me, and I mean that in every good way imaginable.

I just encoded this for my ipod; I will watch it on the plane tomorrow and appreciate its nuances. For now, I am just blown away by the movement of the still images on the beats, by the colour and layering, by the depth with which this works through all the series in such a short space of time.

Also, y'know, CYLONS.

I'm fascinated by this vid. It feels so clearly to me like a logical extention of Stronger Forest, except now we're exploring multiple consciousnesses instead of just one and I'm reeling at the amount of information that I have to process through this. The word that comes to mind is "difficult" and I hope you won't be offended by my using the term - it isn't just about the process of, well, processing, but also "difficult" in the sense that a piece of modern art could be difficult, which is not to say that you don't get anything out of it; you just have to work for it. And - now for a somewhat awkward transition - I love the musicality of it, and especially the way that you generally cut on the beat but sometimes the cutting follows the - what is it? - brass section? and goes fantastically fast and reminds me of chasarumba's perfect melding of cutting and musicality, which is both one thing and two things all at once. Um, this isn't coming across like a proper feedback comment but yes, I really did enjoy it and as usual you have fucked my brain with a chainsaw. By the way, I entirely blame your vid for my wandering run-on sentences.

I'm so, so impressed at how you are able to keep track of all of the layers and colors--with someone less talented, this would be a garbled mess, but you've pulled it all together flawlessly to communicate something profound. Wow. This is so overwhelming--it feels like watching vids did when I started, all of this input come at me and impossible to interpret except that clearly there was some kind of intent there, some kind of message I wasn't getting. Very powerful. I will have to rewatch and try to be more coherent.

I saw this vid when you posted it in the Archive and it is still blowing my mind. I mean first, IT'S JUST ABSOLUTELY STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL. The layering, the rhythms, the colors, it makes me think about dozens of things re: bsg, but it's also soothing in the way that experiencing something so immense and clearly-executed feels transcendent.

I love how all of these important moments take place one on top of the other, seemingly in the same moment. The condensed timeline would still make sense to an omniscient god, but by the end, I also felt like I had a greater sense of what it feels like to be in those timelines. And more than that, I had a more intimate understanding of how the characters struggle to find their place in an epic story that extends well beyond their scope of vision by connecting with each other or by taking direct action.

but I should just say it again: DAMN THIS VID IS SOOO SOOO SHINY!!!
