Date: 2007-11-27 12:02 am (UTC)I think my favorite moment is the warmth of the guitars at 0:57 paired with that great shot of him looking up into the light...the warmth of the sound and the light match so well.

I'm so glad you like the warmth. I tried to show how "warm" the show really is by contrasting with the blues and muddled look.

the colors and.. and.. the colors! overlays! You're so damn good at the overlays that they look so... PRETTY and awesome and oh. just all around awesome.

Date: 2007-11-27 12:31 am (UTC)I'm in love with how many layers I can get in Vegas (as compared to Windows Movie Maker). I ended up with 5 video layers.

Date: 2007-11-27 12:45 am (UTC)That makes me giggle like nooothin' else. Now I might have to make time to see this show if it's oh so deliciously shot.
I didn't mention this last time--but the font! I love the font. Of course I don't think there has been a font used in your vids that I haven't drooled over.
During my vidding process, I thought about the way you use multiple layers during the making of my Sylar vid and decided that this would be the vid in which I did some overlays myself! I got kind of scared of the result because new things freak me out, but hey, that's how I'm rolling I guess.

Date: 2007-11-27 12:51 am (UTC)I horde fonts like it's my job. I have 4 huge folders of fonts.
Hell yeah. Multiple layers for everyone! I say go with it, try it out, the result isn't always what matters.

Date: 2007-11-27 08:46 pm (UTC)And I loved how, especially in the first half or so, how the screened/added video layer looked like it was being shown onto his character from a projector in the room with him--really cool. :D

Date: 2007-11-28 03:31 am (UTC)Most of the soft text screens were from crime scene videos and an internet website that were in scenes from the show. He Googles himself at one point and I thought it was perfect to use the graphics from the site because it tells a lot of information visually and I was able to play with it to make it do what I wanted.
I overlayed scenes of him fighting with a suspect underwater with them nearly choking each other until his partner decides to taser the water to knock them both out. The effect kinda looks like it's projected onto him, so yay, I'm glad it's noticable.
